Travel
The city of Ioannina is the capital of Epirus in North West Greece, 80km east of the port city of Igoumenitsa. Flights are available from most major European cities to the airports of Corfu, Preveza and Ioannina.
If travelling by car, you can catch a ferry in Italy from Trieste, Venice, Ancona, Bari or Brindisi. Ferries to Igoumenitsa sail daily in the summer season. Ioannina is only a 45-minute drive away.

This beautiful small hostel in the Zagori village of Elati has five rooms in two adjacent buildings. Originally a house built in 1856, it was fully refurbished in 1998 and is still an excellent architectural specimen that reflects the traditional style of the area.
